Your answers stay with you

1. What happens to your answers

• The data you enter in the questionnaire is handled at web-application level only: it is received, used in memory to calculate your result, shown to you, and then discarded.
• Your answers are never written to a database and never written to our logs. Not even if you ask for your result by email.
• We do not ask for your name, age, location, employer or any other personal detail to take the check.
• While you answer, your browser tab remembers your progress (in "session storage") so a refresh does not lose it. It stays on your device and is cleared when you ask for your result or close the tab.

2. Downloading or emailing your result

• Download: the PDF report is built in memory when you press the button, sent to you, and discarded. Nothing is stored.
• Email: if you ask for your result by email, we send it once, with the PDF attached, to the address you type. Your answers are not stored.
• To deliver the email, your address is passed to our email delivery provider, which sends it on your behalf.

3. Keeping your email address (only if you tick the box)

• On the email form there is a separate, unticked box: "keep my email address so Welliox can remind me to retake the check and send me occasional updates".
• If you do not tick it, we do not keep your email address.
• If you tick it, we store your email address, the date you agreed and the date your reminder is due, in our database. We use it to send one reminder to retake the check and occasional updates about Welliox. We do not store your answers or your score with it, and we do not sell or share your address.
• Every message contains a one-click unsubscribe link. Using it deletes your email address from our database.
• You can also write to us to see, correct or delete what we hold about you.

4. Accounts

An account is created only if you choose to create one, and it is never required. Status today: accounts are planned but not available yet.

5. Technical information

Like every website, our servers handle basic technical information (such as the time of a request and your IP address) to keep the service secure and working. This does not include your answers. Retention period and hosting details: to be completed before launch.

Visit counting. We count visits to understand how many people use Welliox. The counter uses no cookie and stores no IP address and no identifier: it only adds up daily totals (visitors, page views, which pages, which website sent you). A visitor is recognised for one day only, through a one-way code that is kept in memory and dropped when the day ends. If your browser sends "Do Not Track" or "Global Privacy Control", you are not counted at all. Only the site administrator can see the totals.

Feedback form. Where we offer a feedback form, it is anonymous: it stores only the topic you choose, an optional 1 to 5 rating and an optional short message. It does not store your name, email address, IP address or answers. Please do not write personal details in the message.

5a. If you write to us

• If you use the contact form or send us an email, we receive your name (if you give it), your email address and your message. They are sent to our mailbox and are not stored in our database or shown to anyone else.
• We use them only to reply and are not selling or sharing them. Messages are deleted from our mailbox when they are no longer needed to answer you, and in any case after 24 months.
• Our administrators, and only they, can read these messages. Each message is also copied to a small number of administrator addresses in "BCC".
• When someone asks for their result by email, our administrators get a short notice that a result was sent. It never contains the report, the answers or the scores, and it shows the person's email address only if they ticked the box to keep it.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

• An essential security cookie is used when you submit a form, to protect it against misuse.
• Your light/dark theme choice is stored in your browser on your device.
• There are no advertising or tracking cookies on the questionnaire, results, PDF or email pages.
• If advertising is shown on article pages in future, we will say so here and ask for your choice first where the law requires it.

7. Welliox for Teams

Organisations using Welliox for Teams only see anonymous group results, and only for groups above a minimum size. They never see an individual's answers.

8. Who is responsible, why we may use your data, where it goes and how long we keep it

• Who is responsible: the Welliox team, reachable through the contact page.
• Why we may use your data: your answers are used only to give you your result, because you asked for it by submitting the check. We keep an email address only with your separate, unticked consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
• Who else handles it: our hosting provider and our email delivery provider, who act on our instructions, and Google if advertising is shown on article pages (see section 6). We do not sell your data.
• Where it goes: our providers may be located outside Saudi Arabia. Where personal data is transferred abroad we use only providers that give appropriate protection under the applicable law. Our website is hosted by SmarterASP.NET and any email we send is delivered by an email service provider.
• How long we keep it: answers: not kept. Email address kept with consent: until you unsubscribe, when it is deleted at once, and in any case no longer than 24 months after your last interaction. Anonymous feedback: up to 24 months. Technical server logs: up to 90 days.
• Security: connections are encrypted, access is limited, and if a breach affecting personal data occurs we will notify the regulator and affected people as the law requires.
• Age: Welliox is for adults aged 18 and over and is not directed at children.

9. Your rights and contact

You can ask us what data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, withdraw your consent at any time, and complain to the data-protection authority. We reply within 30 days. Contact details: to be completed before launch.
